棉花糖的天空

2014年底剛完成造釉細胞瘤的手術，經過二個月的休養，

日子總算回歸正常狀態，才讓自己有時間沈澱下來，

好好記綠整個治療過程。

若能以自己治療造釉細胞瘤的經驗，來幫助需要幫助的人，

也算是不枉費血淋淋的經歷了。

2012全家隨著先生移居上海，那時就已發現口腔的右下牙齦有長了一個突出物，

但因為不痛不癢也不影響日常生活，因此我便不管它。

在上海看病並不方便，我們只能在回台灣時該看的病都一次性的看完。

我的牙醫師幫我檢查時看到這個突出物，覺得有點怪異，

但礙於診所設備不足，他建議我到大醫院去做詳細的檢查，

聽他這樣說，心裡的確有些擔心。

2013年暑假，回到台灣特地掛了R教學醫院口腔外科門診，

經照全口X光檢查，醫生初判是良性的類似骨突，

他覺得沒關係若有影響外觀不好看再開刀切除。

聽完之後很放心又回到了上海。

2014年暑假，覺得這個骨突物愈來愈大，

笑起來時很不好看，於是我再回醫院準備切除它。

排定好開刀日期，八月時手術切除，

醫生為了保險起見，做切片化驗，

但確得到一個不想接受的事實，

醫生說這是一個造釉細胞瘤，雖是良性腫瘤，

此腫瘤有侵蝕下顎骨的情形且容易復發性，

建議最好切除以免侵蝕骨頭而造成日後臉的變型。

乍聽之下，對這病完全陌生，醫生並没有馬上說要如何治療，

反而要我先回家上網查查資料，

下次門診時再討論。我也不做他想，應該不會太嚴重吧！

Just completed an operation on Ameloblastoma at the end of 2014, after two months of resting, I finally returned to my normal life and had time to calm down to record the whole treatment. I hope I could share my experience on the treatment for Ameloblastoma to those in need (without being so scared.)

I had already noticed that there was an object on the bottom right of the gum(牙齦) since my family and I moved to Shanghai in 2012, but I did not pay any attention to it because it did not hurt at all. It is not convenient for Taiwanese to go to see a doctor at Shanghai, so we only go to see a doctor when we go back to Taiwan. The dentist told me the object was strange, but he told me to go to bigger hospitals for better equipments. I was concerned after his advice.

I went to see the oral surgery clinic at R hospital in Taiwan in summer in 2013, after having an oral X-ray checkup, the doctor said that it was a benign condyle(良性骨突), he said it’s okay and could be cut off if it affects the appearance. I felt relieved and went back to Shanghai at that time.

In 2014, the condyle(骨突) became larger and looked ugly, so I went back to the hospital and planned to cut it off. The operation was planned to be taken at August. Just in case, the doctor did a surgical biopsy(切片手術). But I got a bad news: the doctor said it was Ameloblastoma, although it was a benign neoplasm(良性腫瘤), it had the problem of eroding mandible(侵蝕下顎骨) and it might relapse. The doctor suggested it had better be cut off to prevent (from ) bone erosion(侵蝕骨頭) and the deformation on face(臉變形). I was totally unfamiliar to this symptom(症狀), the doctor did not say how the treatment would be, but he told me to search for information on the internet and discuss next time, I didn’t think of anything else, it shouldn’t be too serious!
