棉花糖的天空

得知是造釉細胞瘤之後，回來仔細上網查了資料，

有些專有醫學名詞雖看不懂但大略知道是要開刀拿掉的，

至於要拿多少怎麼拿，拿完之後要如何做後續等等，

都需要再和醫生討論。

我再次回診，醫師説，若有確定要拿掉，

他們的方式是要切除部份的下顎骨

（沒有完全切除會保留一些，那不會斷嗎?醫生說看或然率)

之後再做活動假牙。那我問會切到神經嗎？

醫師說有可能，所以日後下巴會有點麻麻的。

聽到這裡就有些不太能接受，我的心裡是十萬個不想裝活動假牙，

這關係到以後咬硬物也會不太方便吧!

接著沒有神經以後下巴會麻而且沾黏飯粒也不自覺，

因此，還猶豫是否要開刀？

所幸，沒有馬上決定開刀，

在這期間我不放棄狂找網路上是否有相同的病例，

結果皇天不負苦心人，讓我找到一位在十五年前開過刀的telfish，

在pixnet看了他整個治療過程，發現原來這病還有另一種治療方式，

的確令我十分振奮，也感謝telfish把過程詳細的記綠下來，

讓我發現原來自己並不孤單，還有相同的病友一塊奮戰!

I searched for lots of information on the internet and knew that the symptom was Ameloblastoma. Although I couldn’t understand some medical words, but I could still roughly know that it needs to be cut off. Still need to discuss with the doctor about how to cut it off and what to do after the operation.

I went back to the doctor, he said they will cut off a part of the mandible(下顎骨)  (not cut off the whole thing but to keep some of it. Isn’t it going to break? The doctor said isn’t certain.), I would be wearing partial denture after the operation. I asked if it will cut the nerve(神經). He said probably, so the chincould  feel numb(麻麻的). I couldn’t accept it, I didn’t want to wear partial denture, it isn’t convenient at all! So, I still hesitated about the operation.

Luckily, I did not choose to do the operation instantly. I did not gave up searching similar symptoms happened on others on the internet. Finally, I found someone named telfish who did the operation fifteen years ago. I read through his stories about the treatment on pixnet and noticed there is another way to treat Ameloblastoma, I felt encouraged and thankful about telfish’s detail about his treatment. I knew that I am not alone but have friends with the same experience fighting with me!
